Running Around The Backhand Return—Sometimes A Mistake!

By Chris Lewit · The Prodigy Maker (2019-05-07) · Original Article ↗

A common mistake that I see is on the return of serve:

When teaching return of serve, coaches encourage players to run around the backhand to rip the forehand. Some players return much better with backhand and they should try to set up points with that shot on R and then again on R1 rather than the typical R and R1 goal striving for the forehand.
