Tennis Fitness

Train the Chain. Not the Muscles.

The Principle

Tennis fitness isn't general fitness. It's specific capacity for the Q-V-ROOT-8-45-Impulse-Jin chain.

Every exercise must answer: Does this improve my chain?

The Physical Demands of the Chain

Variable Physical Requirement Training Focus
Q Visual processing speed, focus endurance Vision drills, cognitive load
V Neck stability, vestibular tolerance Neck isometrics, gaze stability
ROOT Foot intrinsic strength, ankle stiffness, hip rotation Barefoot work, single-leg, rotational power
F Fascial elasticity, line continuity Dynamic stretching, plyometrics, loaded carries
P Proprioceptive acuity, spindle sensitivity Unstable surfaces, eyes-closed, perturbation
T Tensegrity integrity, no energy leaks Core stiffness, anti-rotation, breathing
SSC Elastic power, short amortization Plyometrics, depth jumps, reactive hops
8 Coordinated continuous movement Complex patterns, flow drills
45° Diagonal plane strength Rotational med ball, cable chops
BRAKE Eccentric strength, deceleration Eccentric overload, landing control
PULSE Rate of force development Ballistic intent, minimal time
JIN Whole-body elastic expression Integrated patterns, variability
