Start Here¶
New to the system? Start with these 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Understand the CORE Map¶
The entire biomechanical system is built on 12 interconnected variables forming a single chain:
Q → V → ROOT → F → P → T → SSC → 8 → 45° → BRAKE → PULSE → JIN
Quiet Eye → Vestibular → Rooting → Fascia → Proprioception → Tensegrity → SSC (Stretch-Shortening Cycle) → Figure-8 → 45° Swing Plane → Brake → Pulse / Impulse → Jin
Step 2: Find Your Broken Link¶
Every stroke error traces back to one broken variable. Diagnosing it takes 5 minutes.
| Your Symptom | Likely Broken Link |
|---|---|
| Late contact, off-center hits | Q (Quiet Eye) |
| Head bobbing, losing balance while moving | V (Vestibular) |
| No power, body falling backward | ROOT (Rooting) |
| Arming the ball, elbow/shoulder pain | F/P (Fascia / Proprioception) |
| Stiff muscle force, no whip | T/SSC (Tensegrity / Stretch-Shortening) |
| Racquet opens too wide, late contact | 8 (Figure-8 regulation) |
| Flat shots, net errors or long balls | 45° (Swing Plane) |
| Weak shots, no penetration | BRAKE / PULSE (Braking & Impulse) |
| Inconsistent under match pressure | JIN (Unified Power) |
Step 3: Follow Your Path¶
| Your Starting Point | Recommended Path |
|---|---|
| Club / Recreational Player | CORE Map → Diagnostic → Forehand Push → Serve & Return |
| Competitive Tournament Player | Diagnostic → Weakest Variable → Deep-dive Chapter → Drill Practice |
| Coach / Teacher | CORE Map → Visual Library → Drills Library → AI Coach Integration |
Three Golden Principles¶
- No variable works alone. The chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
- Don't skip links. You cannot fix PULSE if your ROOT is broken.
- Train the whole chain, not in isolation. Every drill connects to the unified system.
Your First Week Roadmap¶
| Day | Focus | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Map | Read CORE System Overview — understand the 12 variables |
| 2 | Diagnose | Run the diagnostic table — find your broken link |
| 3 | Fix | Read the deep-dive chapter for your broken variable |
| 4 | Drill | Practice that variable's core drill — 20 min on court |
| 5 | Integrate | Shadow swings + Figure-8 drill — feel the full chain |
| 6 | Play | Play points — apply the Pre-Point Routine on every ball |
| 7 | Evaluate | Record 5 forehand/backhand strokes — compare to Visual Library |
