F — Fascia¶
How does force travel? Through the myofascial lines — primarily the Spiral Line (forehand) and Back Line (backhand).
The Rule¶
Spiral line for forehand, Back line for backhand. Connect the chain, don't muscle it.
Why It Matters¶
- Fascia transmits force faster than muscle contraction
- Elastic energy storage in fascial lines = free power
- Disconnected fascia = arming the ball = injury
Key Cue¶
"Spiral line & Back line."
Training Drill¶
- Spiral line activation — diagonal reach with rotation
- Back line stretch — forward fold with straight legs
- Figure-8 shadow — feel the lines loading/unloading
Common Errors¶
- Muscling with arm only: Bypasses fascial transmission
- Tight fascia restricting rotation: Needs mobility work
- Ignoring the non-dominant side: Breaks the line continuity
