Serve
Isolated Kinetic Chain.
The Serve Is Different
The only shot you control completely. No opponent's ball to read — just a pure kinetic chain running from ground to hand.
The Serve CORE Map
| Variable |
Serve Implementation |
| Q |
Eyes on toss contact zone, never the opponent. Park at peak of toss. |
| V |
Head stays still throughout. Chin tucked. No peeking at target. |
| ROOT |
Platform: both feet screw in. Pinpoint: back foot drives, front foot brakes. |
| 8 |
Vertical 8: racket drops behind back, crosses over, exits up-forward. |
| 45° |
45° diagonal: drops low behind, drives up through ball. |
| BRAKE |
Front hip/leg brakes hard. Torso stops. Arm whips. |
| PULSE |
1-inch pronation snap at contact. Never a long swing. |
| JIN |
Ting feels stretch. Hua = N/A (you create the energy). Fa = explosive pronation. |

Trophy Position: The Load
- Elbow at shoulder height or slightly above, 90°
- Racket points up, edge up — never back
- Shoulders tilted, hitting shoulder higher than toss shoulder
- Hip rotated, trunk coiled, loading spiral line
- Toss arm extended upward, pointing at ball, counter-balance
Coach's Note: The trophy position isn't a pose. It's the SSC load. If you don't feel a stretch in chest, lat, and shoulder at trophy, you're not loaded. No load = no SSC = no power.
Acceleration: The One-Inch Pulse
- Racket drops behind back from gravity + trunk rotation — never muscle it down
- Front leg/hip brakes hard, torso stops
- Arm whips: shoulder IR + elbow extension + pronation
- Contact: slightly in front, to the right, above head. Pronation peaks EXACTLY at contact.
- Feel: 1-inch pulse. Never a long swing — brake, then snap.
